About JW Counselling & Coaching

 I am an integrative counsellor and therapeutic coach. 

Using elements from different approaches, l tailor my therapy to each client’s individual needs.


I provide the space to confide and reflect with 

non-judgmental and understanding support, gently exploring past influences and current events which are having an intrusive and negative impact on mental health. 


As a therapeutic coach I combine counselling and coaching for clients who wish to make changes or have had change forced upon them. I provide support both for the emotional response to change and take steps towards a new direction.


Working through doubts and insecurities and drawing on personal strengths creates a greater understanding of what might be holding someone back. It helps to identify ways to overcome obstacles and allow a greater sense of clarity, motivation and confidence.

Counselling can help when you: 

                                            

  • Need time to reflect and talk freely, being listened to without judgement, at a pace that suits you. 
  • Want a place to open up in confidence to someone who is there to hear you, help you to feel understood and find a way forward.
  • Feel anxious, confused, stuck, or just feel that something is not how it should be.
  • Feel the demands made on you by other people, work or your own expectations are overwhelming.
  • Find loss or change has left you feeling disorientated and struggling to cope.
  • Notice that past experiences have left a deep impression and impact on how you see yourself.
  • Need to manage a specific issue such as social anxiety, perfectionism or phobia.

 Coaching can help when:      

                                              

  • Your life is about to change and you need support to plan a way forward.
  • Change has been imposed on you and you feel unable to find a move forward.
  • You have choices that it feels overwhelming to make.
  • There is just too much on your plate and you don’t know where to start.
  • You are feeling lost, confused or struggling with decisions.
  • You just want things to be different.
  • You need support to maintain the motivation to change.

Qualifications & Training


  • Member of the British Association of Counselling Practitioners
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching 
  • MSc in Psychology
  • CACHE Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace Level 2
  • Bereavement and grief training with Cruse Bereavement Support
  • Member of the Action Trauma Network
  • Fully insured, valid DBS check and registered for Data Protection under ICO.

  I offer sessions in person, from my therapy rooms in Horsham, West Sussex and  online or a combination of both.
